Madison Mayor Mania!?
In the drive-thru line at Hardee’s this morning [I know, I know], I was behind a large Toyota SUV with a “Paul Finley for Mayor” set of stickers. So I whipped out the iPhone and pulled up the URL to see if this was a Madison thing or not. It is.
Made me realize that, other than incumbent Sandy Kirkindall, I had no idea who was even running for mayor, and I have no idea what any of them really stand for. Oh, there’s Finley’s “A Fresh Approach”, and I’m sure that Kirkindall’s slogan will be “Proven Leadership” like any good incumbent. But it occurs to me that I maybe should get involved and blog about this, because it means something to us here in the L:35758.
Would this be interesting to any of the locals?
I think that is a great idea! That way I do not have to do independent research… ehm, I mean, it will give you something to blog about and will be an asset to the community. Yeah, that is it
Seriously, though, this will just be your next step towards running for city council one day

1. I knew you’d use this to be lazy, Creekmore!
2. Like I’m not gonna drag you along.
3. Damn you, damn you, damn you.
April 8th, 2008 at 8:56 amHey, I was doing a little research on Sandy and found you on page 4 of the search. That Toyota you saw was my wife, the one who told ne that she had sworn off fast food!!
By now you have seen a lot more stickers, billboards, t-shirts, etc and I hope you have had a chance to come to one of my Tuesday meetings at OH’ Bryans. I might have even made it by to personally knock on your door. If not, I will be headed there soon.
I will also offer “a fresh approach….email me and let’s sit down and talk further. Your window to the election via this site can only help in getting the word out (with your spin not mine.)
Grab a biscut for me.
