It's also gotten me some serious business networking contacts and job leads here and there. I was pretty excited about Orkut in its early days, mainly because it was a product of Google. But it seemed like they never scaled it to acceptable performance levels, and the UI design needed a good overhaul, so I gradually stopped making time to visit. There just wasn't anything to keep me coming back. At least with LinkedIn, you have an easily updatable online resume that you can point people at. It’s about time :)
