I Found Recovery
Jeremy Casella, a very good musician and an even nicer guy—yes, Sufjan Stevens, I’m in the risk of “friend rock” here—passed along a great gift to me tonight: MP3s from his upcoming release, Recovery. Jeremy, you have made a great work of art here. It has grabbed me and will not let me go. I don’t want to sleep tonight. I just want to listen to this record. In fact, I might put it on the stereo in my room and listen to it all night.
[And if you're saying to yourself, "Hey, is the title of this entry an Eric Peters allusion?" you not only win a donut but free tickets to see EP and Randall Goodgame on Saturday night here in my hometown.]
I’m jealous.
