This week, I have a couple new albums outside my standard fare, as well as one of my own hand-recorded bootlegs [one that, sadly, I'm not that happy with]:
- 2006-08-19 [Columbus, MS, USA] concert bootleg of Caedmon’s Call.
- The Von Bondies’ Pawn Shoppe Heart
- M. Ward’s Transistor Radio
Last week was Square Peg-riffic:
- 2006-08-15 [Nashville, TN, USA] concert bootleg of members of the Square Peg Alliance. Sounds really good, thanks to getting a great table well before the show. Four-and-a-half stars.
- Chris Mason’s Crowded Spaces. This is Chris’s sophomore effort, produced by Andrew Osenga and the Cason Cooley. I like it. Three stars.
- Chris Mason’s Not So Gracefully. This is Chris’s debut disc, and it shows in some ways. The writing, however, is very good. Two-and-a-half stars.
