Geof’s New Music: 30 Jul – 5 Aug 2006
Oh yeah, let’s knock this one out good and early!
- 1999-07-17 [Olympia, WA, USA] concert bootleg of Elliott Smith.
- 2004-08-29 [Dublin, EIR] concert bootleg of Keane.
- 2006-02-09 [New York, NY, USA] concert bootled of HEM.
- 2006-06-04 [Atlanta, GA, USA] concert bootleg of Caedmon’s Call.
- 2006-07-10 [Montreal, QC, CA] concert bootleg of Wilco.
Here’s last week’s bootleg fest:
- 1 May 1994 [St. Louis, MO, USA] concert bootleg of Uncle Tupelo. Simply great; nice way to end their career. Four stars.
- 26 Jun 1996 [San Francisco, CA, USA] concert bootleg of Golden Smog. Very meh, probably because I don’t know many of the songs. Two-and-a-half stars.
- 19 May 1998 [West Hollywood, CA, USA] concert bootleg of Elliott Smith. Solid bootleg; three stars.
- 10 Feb 2000 [Milligan, TN, USA] concert bootleg of Andrew Peterson. This sounds pretty good, but AP has done better performances, to be sure. Two stars.
- 10 Feb 2000 [Milligan, TN, USA] concert bootleg of Derek Webb. Derek’s set had more oomph: three stars.
- 28 Apr 2000 [New Orleans, LA, USA] concert bootleg of Wilco. A great little show; three stars. The second half of the show is where it’s at, y’all.
- 2 Feb 2006 [Seattle, WA, USA] concert bootleg of Jeff Tweedy. Two stars, because the taper stunk.
- 30 May 2006 [Chicago, IL, USA] concert bootleg of Over the Rhine. Two-and-a-half stars; another bad taper, but Rick Plant’s solo on “When I Go”? AWESOME.
- 6 Jul 2006 [Nashville, TN, USA] concert bootleg of Katy Bowser. The taper sucks on this one, too. But that’s me! My bad.
