Yeah, that ended up being a lot of music. I had all the bootlegs queued up and the Sufjan expected to go against them when both the Mute Math and the new Sandra disc dropped into my lap. Good times.
Last week was almost bootleg-free, for once.
- Katy Bowser’s Laryngitis. Three stars. Very hit-and-miss, but that’s to be somewhat expected of an independent artist early in their career. I have a very hard time believing that this is the Katy whom I’ve been listening to in getting this bootleg I have of hers prepared for seeding today.
- Katy Bowser’s Longing. Two-and-a-half stars.
- Kate York’s Sadly Love. Three stars.
- Manchester Orchestra’s You Brainstorm, I Brainstorm, But Brilliance Needs a Good Editor. Three stars; these guys have a lot of promise.
- People You Meet’s eponymous album. Three-and-a-half stars. This is really good stuff…
- 20 Jun 2006 [Nashville, TN, USA] concert bootleg of Matthew Perryman Jones. I didn’t have this listed before, but it’s something I’d put together afterwards. But this was a really good set. Three-and-a-half stars.
