One of the hard drives in miller.rocksmyfaceoff.net, the server that hosts IJSM.org as well as, oh, THE REST OF MY ENTIRE LIFE, is dying a slow, painful death. The NOC is going to pull the server offline at 1300 CDT tomorrow to do an analysis; as I understand their escalation procedures, they have to do an analysis to prove that it’s bad before they can replace it at no charge. Joyful.

I will spend tonight and tomorrow morning making backups onto the NAS account I have; I do this routinely anyway, but the HD that’s failing is the backup HD, which makes it kinda hard for me to trust its backups.
