Sxip Identity, sxore, and Identity 2.0

In a comment on my entry about faking comments from real people, Brad points to Sxore … which points me to Sxip Identity and the concept of Identity 2.0. All things to ponder. I should look at this stuff before I go to Portland so I can ponder it on the trip…

Regarding the naming, they’re Web 2.0 versions of “skip” and “score”. Remember, this is the Flickr generation.

As a good basis, I’d watch Dick Hardt’s presentation on Identity 2.0. It’s an evolved version of the one I saw at OSCON last year that introduced me to the whole game.

Hey I just followed some of your links to rfmo-blogs … sxore might be perfect for you guys if you all post on the same set of blogs and they all run sxore. For bloggers it has whitelists and blacklists to ease the moderation workload. It’s also really handy for people who manage multiple blogs.
Sorry to do the hard sell … we’re in beta and have yet to get feedback from a whole community of bloggers who know each other. Email me if you are interested.

  6. Brad:

  7. Geof F. Morris:

Yeah, a 60-plus-member group is probably attractive to you. :)

Back before vacation, I was pointed to Sxore by Brad. While I believe in identity concepts, something closer to OpenID/TypeKey/etc. more what I think works. Sxore’s implementation pulls comments off of my site—I just tested it out—a…
