2006 Alabama Church Burnings

It’s been sad to watch churches across my state burned. The latest church is in Beaverton, Alabama … and is a church that I’ve driven by innumerable times. Beaverton is a tiny community between Guin and Sulligent; Mom is from the former, and my great aunt lived in the latter. This does make it hit a little closer to home, although that’s sad, because the burning of any church, anywhere, ought to bother me.

These young men need to stop; either way, the church will forgive them. We’re called to forgiveness—we can’t do anything else.
