Ralph Reed Descendant

I, for one, am quite glad that the Jack Abramoff political scandal seems ready to swallow Ralph Reed’s nascent political career whole. I am all for Christians being in politics, but I don’t want to see Christian politicians, those who beat you over the head with their “Gospel-infused” rhetoric. Honestly, there’s lots of dissent as to what Christ Himself would do if given political influence [besides laugh], so … wrapping yourself in the folds of Jesus’s garment just sickens me.

You’re a politician—do political things, please.

Well said. Christians should be taking part in the political process, but it saddens me when I see this. Ralph Reed is the obvious first guy to go down, but I’m hoping it causes guys like Jim Dobson (who pushed the anti-gambling campaign based on a request from Reed) to think twice in the future, too.
