I’m looking forward to:
- 8 Apr 2005 [Dayton, OH, USA] concert bootleg of Over The Rhine and Kim Taylor. I almost went to this Canal Street show; I’m happy to be able to hear it.
- 19 Dec 2005 [Portland, OR, USA] concert bootleg of U2. I’m not as big of a U2 as many of my friends are, but I appreciate them, to be sure. I grabbed this as much for me as for Misty, who will probably beg me for this once she reads it. [I am holding the FLACs hostage until I get my copy of Illinois back.

Here’s my thoughts on last week’s stuff:
- 1 Dec 1970 [Tampa, FL, USA] concert bootleg of Derek and the Dominoes with Duane Allman. Ugh. The sound quality of a 35-year-old audience recording done on analog equipment is just … unlistenable. Two stars … barely.
- 9 Dec 2005 [Austin, TX, USA] concert bootleg of Coldplay on Austin City Limits. Chris had said good things about this recording, and with good reason. This gets an oh-so-rare four-and-a-half stars out of five from me.
I got nowhere with the Wilco Alpha Romeo Tango stuff. I’m hoping to make progress on that this week, but … it’s gonna be a long haul.
You better be burning me a copy right now man or no Illinoise for you!!
Your CD is burned and in my backpack!
