GRE Complete

Well, another hurdle done. I scored high enough today to ensure a qualifying score to get into graduate school, no matter when my written essay comes back scored.

Not a bad use of my morning, if only as a recognition that my verbal skills were absolutely killed by my time in engineering school. I aced the quantitative part, which I wasn’t expecting to do. I’d hoped to ace the verbal, and I didn’t. Believe it or not, I was actually kinda mad at the verbal score. Oh well.

Back to work.

    Yeah, yeah.

But what does that have to do with hockey?

    I mean, uh, congrats! ;)

  2. Geof F. Morris:

Being back in graduate school means that I get into hockey games for free again.

I honestly hadn’t thought about that until just now.

    SCORE!!!

  3. Roger:

You got your grade right then and there? Nice!

  4. Geof F. Morris:

Yeah, Roger: as a computer-based test, you can get your verbal and quantitative scores right then. The analytical writing section gets scored offsite, but I had a high enough score on those two areas to ensure that I’ll get a qualifying score for grad school. :)

Congrats! When will you be starting? This fall? Good luck to you. Maybe I’ll see you around sometime…yes, I’m crazy and contemplating another degree… being a nerd is hard work ;)
