Posterhänger: IJSM.org Approved
I tossed a couple Over The Rhine posters on my office walls today. I did so using setups from Posterhänger. They’re a little pricey, but it’s sleek, self-leveling, and very clean-looking. I will definitely be ordering more!
Also, I do believe that I am slowly sucking Stephen into the world of OTR. He emailed me about ten days ago with a link to some commentary and audio about Drunkard’s Prayer on Salon, and I asked him if he wanted to borrow my copy. “Gosh, yes. I’ve been really enjoying that CD.”
Somewhere in metro Atlanta, Jeff Holland is smiling.

You are having many links in your entries.
(Also. I smile when people accept OtR as their musical savior, but I rarely evangelize myself. Glad to see the good news is being spread by others).
May 2nd, 2005 at 23:16It’s a Weblog. I do that. If I want to write about myself, I do that elsewhere.
[Mostly.]
But yes … I’m happy to share what was once shared with me.
May 2nd, 2005 at 23:26I, on the other hand, am the Billy Graham of Over the Rhine.
May 3rd, 2005 at 07:24If my head didn’t hurt so damn much this morning, I’d laugh really hard at that, Jeff. So, so true.
May 3rd, 2005 at 07:39Well. Sometimes I share.
But what I *don’t* do is bring people who don’t already love them to shows. Because I want to be able to just enjoy the music…not worry about my date/friend/co-worker who is maybe not having as good of a time. Stress!
But the world needs Billy Grahams and I’m glad we have you, Jeff.
May 3rd, 2005 at 09:55Hey, I can cue that CD up right now.
Yeah, yeah, I need to go buy my own copy.
May 3rd, 2005 at 10:30Lara: I dragged Rick to a show once. :cringe:
Stephen: Paste Music is calling your name.
May 3rd, 2005 at 13:10Who is Rick? The roommmate?
May 3rd, 2005 at 13:33Rick is half of the Huntsville plant of the King family. You once self-Googled and found yourself there, Lara.
Though he and I have been friends for nine years [!], we have never lived together.
May 3rd, 2005 at 13:37I might have enjoyed the show more if I had been awake. We started the weekend driving from Huntsville to Jackson, TN to see a Caedmon’s show on Friday night. We followed that up with the OtR show on Saturday night in Dayton. I’m normally not an evening person (anything after about 9-10 and I’m getting sleepy). So with all the travel (yes, it was just sitting, but it still wears you out), the late show, and my unfamiliarity with OtR, I didn’t get a whole lot out of it.
I will say that we had pretty awesome seats though since my foot was on the edge of the stage through the whole show.
May 3rd, 2005 at 13:57Yeah, that was a looooooooooooong trip. It seemed like a great idea before we left.
This is when I politely note that OTR is playing in Nashville at 10:00 p.m. on the 29th. This white boy is going; other interested parties from the Greater Huntsville Area could consider that a small celebration of their wedding anniversaries if they so chose, although I’m quite aware that it’s past all four of your bedtimes and all that, plus the matter of King Eli. But if we could work out a way to go, I would so drive so that everyone could sleep on the way back. [We'd have to find a car to fit us all, though.]
May 3rd, 2005 at 14:02Right. That Rick.
