GTD’ing Out of a Rut
I was feeling pretty sluggish a half-hour or so ago, to the point that I was all, “Screw this, I’m goin’ home.” My allergies are still nuts [hey, it's smart to buy Claritin ... it's smarter to take it home with you so you can take it before you go to bed], the quote I spent yesterday and today working is so piddling small that it’s not worth doing, and … just yeah. My motivation tank hit E. So I looked forlornly at my overflowing INBOX on top of my filing cabinet—which reminds me that I should photograph my office layout, save that pesky company policy about digital cameras at work— and decided to get it emptied.
It is empty now, and I have enough energy to sustain me through to the end of the day, I do believe.
Makes you kind of misty eh? Me too.

From The Editor’s Desk
Dear readers:
We here at TOTK would like to announce a few additions and changes to our staff of sportswriters. First, Rich Mies has been promoted to Executive Editor. He will continue to be involved in SportsBytes, working to help it grow into one of the most popular and respected online sports publications.
I will be taking over the reins as editor-in-chief. I’m excited about the opportunity to make SportsBytes bigger and better, as well as recruit new writers to bring fresh voices to our publication.
Which brings me to my next point: I’m pleased to welcome three new writers to the TOTK staff: Joe McDonald, Christine Martinez, and Ross Flint. Joe and Christine will cover Major League Baseball all season long, while Ross will cover a wide variety of pro and college sports.
Also on my editorial agenda- increasing the size of our staff; making the site more interactive, more attractive, and more streamlined; adding a few new features; and resurrecting the pre-2002 archives. Hopefully once these tasks are completed, TOTK will be better than it’s ever been.
I look forward to serving as editor, and hope that you’ll all be along for the ride- and bring a few friends, relatives and colleagues as well.
Kyle Bishop
TOTK.com Editor-In-Chief
