Folksonomies

I need to take the time to read Adam Mathes’s essay, Folksonomies – Cooperative Classification and Communication Through Shared Metadata. If you care about user-generated metadata [del.icio.us and the like] as I do, you will want to give it a read as well.

[HT to Peter Merholz, who is right that "folksonomies" is a bad term, but one that's likely to stick. Kinda like, oh, "blog". Feh.]
