Giddiness
Tonight, I will watch my first real, live NBA basketball game.
I’m way geeked.
I’m thankful that Stephen is going with me to keep me awake on the way to and from the game. It’ll be a little bit of a late night driving back, but this is going to be fun!
I’m leaving soon to go home, do a couple things, and grab my digicam. I’m sure I won’t get great shots—we have pretty good but not floor-level seats—but this needs documentation!

I am shocked that as of this minute I’ve seen more live NBA games than you have.
I’ve seen one, Vancouver Grizzlies vs. Seattle Supersonics. Can’t remember who won, as either team winning would have been a good thing.

You’ve lived near an NBA team before. I never have. The closest I’ve lived to a NBA franchise prior to the Grizzlies moving to Memphis was Cleveland or Detroit when we lived in Dayton. My folks are not basketball fans, so we never went.
You’ve also seen more NHL games in person than I have. But I’ve seen more NCAA D-I games in person, and I’m okay with that.

December 29th, 2004 at 15:56You say that as if the Grizzlies were an NBA team. They were a high school team dressed up in fancy uniforms.
December 29th, 2004 at 18:40But you had BIG COUNTRY!
