The Real Issue with Outsourcing

UC-Berkley’s Brad DeLong posts strong thoughts about the real issues with outsourcing: the U.S. has, at best, only a patchwork infrastructure for retraining folks. As is sometimes the case with the things I write, the conclusion comes after much laying of groundwork. The groundwork is, in Brad’s case, very much worth reading. In mine, maybe not so much … ;)

Hat tip to Peter Merholz. I’m to the right of Merholz and DeLong in terms of political rhetoric, but generally aligned with them economically.
