Laptop Giving Up the Ghost

Crap.

I thought the laptop was just suffering from a bad power adapter.

I’m now 99% sure that it’s the motherboard that’s slowly dying.

:sigh: I guess I’m going to spend a little time tonight getting a desktop up and running.

    Elaborate. What’s happening? I’m having computer issues too (as you know). I wonder if they’re similar – I think mine’s the power adapter too.

    Well, my battery won’t charge, for one. I bought a new adapter to see if that was the issue … it wasn’t. Last night, the only way I could get it to boot was to pull the FDD and stick the battery in that spot–it did boot up, but it was draining from the battery pack. I had no AC connection to the laptop.
