MSMS Hit by Tornado

Peyton Hall? Hit by a tornado?

Reading this 36 hours later still gives me the shakes. Peyton was home for two years.

This … this … ugh.

Geez… That’s so horrible. I’m so sorry to hear that that happened to MSMS. I’m sure, though, that they’ll be able to pick up the pieces and rebuild, but it’s still horrible.

Did you read Ginger’s account from visiting yesterday? Hooper is closed indefinitely-All of the bottles holding chemicals in the labs have been broken. They’re worried about the chemical reactions. She also said the dorms were the worst hit, especially Peyton. It’s really kinda scary. But I’m also pretty curious and wish that someone had posted pictures. that wlbt thingy didn’t have enough pictures. :)

Heh. Remind me to check msmsaa before I post wanting to see pictures:

Kinda scary? The words "fucking terrifying" sum it up for me.

Any word, O Board Member, on what we lowly alumni are to do?

Don’t know yet. We’re going to offer any help they need. That’s all I know right now. :)

Ya know, I wanted to see photos … and then I saw this one, and I wanted to … ugh.

The wing that you see the most of in that photo is east wing. Senior year, I lived on the second floor in the room farthest to the right in that view, closest to the fire escape.

Will someone please come wake me up? I really don’t want to belive that this happened.

I remember one time during a tornado warning, the doors at the end of the wing halls all opened and then slammed shut. I can’t, for the life of me, remember whether that was junior year or senior year, when Rick would have been there.

You know, for tornado safety, I always thought they should let us go into the steam tunnels.

That is one of the most depressing sights that I have ever seen. Just like Geof, I spent two years of my life living on 2-East. That was home for us.
